Holy moly.
I just watched last night's episode, and I need some time to (as Kate Winslet would say) "gather" myself on that one. Here we are, my friends, this is the beginning of the end and LOST is going to pull no punches and take no prisoners. Or maybe that's just Flocke.
RIP Jin, Sun, Sayid, and Lapidus. I can't believe we're down to just Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer from the original main cast battling it out with Flocke.... although Rose, Bernard and Vincent may still have their day!
I'll say it again, Terry O'Quinn just OWNS this season. He's been incredible, and I wonder if Damon and Carlton sat him down years ago and just said "wait it out with us, there may be some boring years where you don't appear as much, but you are going to end up kicking ass in the end."
I missed the scenes from next week, but since there are only a few more hours left (gasp!) things will have to keep on moving very quickly. We've got to get Desmond, Ben, Richard, and Miles - our more mystical/mythological bunch - back into the game, and we've got to have final resolution of the Jacob/MIB/Flocke/Jack story. Because it sure does look like Jack is going to the final candidate, whether that's a good thing for him or not.
And, somehow, the two storylines have to weave together - whether it's the epilogue idea or if the alt-storyline needs to dissolve somehow in order to save the Island, or the people, in real-time. How are they going to fit this all into just a few hours????
